An experiment in attentive listening, the Music for Furniture ensemble has been playing together for five years. Composed of veteran musicians and innovators, members Rodney Alan Greenblat, David and Kenji Garland, Jimmy Garver, and Dan Kirkhus pool their musical perspectives to create spontaneous music using synthesizers, electronics, woodwinds and a prepared resonator guitar. They are resident musical artists at Cafe Joust in Catskill, New York, where they play a 90-minute set every Monday morning. Tickets $22.50 Non-Members, $20 TSL Members.
