Since 2023, One Little Goat Theatre Company has been filming all 17 chapters (30 hours) of James Joyce’s Finnegans Wake before live audiences, marking the first “audio-video book” of the novel, completing by May 4, 2029. John Cage created multiple works engaging with Finnegans Wake, including Roaratorio and various performance texts.
The evening features excerpts from the first five filmed chapters presented by Adam Seelig (One Little Goat Theatre Director), with Jaclyn Hoppin (soprano) and Jeffrey Lependorf (piano) performing John Cage’s Joyce songs.
