This year, Four Nations Ensemble presents 3 Programs featuring music from Austria, Savoy and Germany inspired by Couperin’s masterful sonatas entitled The Nations.

See above for tickets to Concert #1
For Tickets for the Series (all 3 concerts), please call TSL

Though the Four Nations Ensemble derives its name from these masterpieces, for the first time in its 40 year concert history, the Ensemble will perform the complete set of Couperin’s grand sonatas. These exquisite, subtle and touching works will act as overtures to programs of music from the countries to which Couperin makes allusion.

The music runs a gamut from the sublime to the silly, from heartbreaking to ticklish, from the grand to the intimate, from fanfare to whisper. Join us for a tour through Austria, Savoy, France and Spain…and we add the German States and New York City in this performance season.

Review of the Four Nations Ensemble concert at TSL on March 1, 2025:
“Wonderful music in an ideal acoustic… Ms. Beaudin really stole the show in the subtlety of her ornamentation, controlled coloratura, and warm vocal color.”
—Seth Lachterman, Mosaic of the Air
Concert Review: Four Nations Ensemble – ‘Music of the Grand Tour’ (NYC, 30 May 2019)
“The musicians showed an intimate knowledge of, and love for, the sounds… living the music rather than just singing it.”
