In German-occupied Paris, Robert Klein is a prosperous French art dealer who profits from Jews forced to sell their valuables at a fraction of their worth. His comfortable life is upended when he discovers another man with his exact name – a Jewish man – exists in the city. As Klein becomes obsessed with finding his mysterious double, he is drawn deeper into a bureaucratic nightmare that forces him to confront questions of identity, complicity, and the arbitrary nature of persecution.
