“Untitled” by Michael Sheedy
MICHAEL SHEEDY was born one of seven children, in 1950, in Vermont. After spending several years in Vermont Michael moved to Long Island where he still lives in Syosset. You can see the influence of both Vermont and Long Island in his art work, in the many beach pictures as well as northeastern landscapes. Sheedy started painting in the late 1970’s. He is largely self-taught and never went to college so he has no formal academic training. Micheal was a night owl and worked as an overnight security guard for many years and painted many of his works during this time.

“Mao” by Earl Swanigan
EARL SWANIGAN: In September 2020, TSL curated a retrospective of Hudson-based outsider artist Earl Swanigan (1964–2019). All works for sale. More information on The Earl Show here.
