With our 16mm film and video screenings we seek to show films that offer a uniquely critical edge and poignant points of view. Recent favorites include: Heir to An Execution with Rosenberg Co-Defendent Morton Sobell and MOOG with live performances.

Recent festivals include Southern Appalachian Film Fest, Indian Bollywood Fest co-sponsored by filmmakers, Ismail Merchant and James Ivory, and Ingmar Bergman Festival.

10 years ago, we were screening films on a single 16mm projector. Every movie had an intermission as Linda changed the film reel. Claudia sold popcorn and was known to pass out popsicles on particularly hot days.

Now TSL, with member support, has built up an 87 seat theater, complete with soft, cushy 1940s' seats. There is even air conditioning! The art gallery complements the movies with edgy fringe offoffoff the grid shows. The staff ain't bad either. The NY Times called TSL the place to see independent film in Columbia County, NY.
