AFTER THE REVOLUTION
What is after the revolution?Mao said there is nothing after the revolution.
My friend Cathy gave me this quote on Sunday at the gathering of TSL Women Meeting to Change the World.
This news is reality.
We are now in the world of Post Revolution---and Post Modern.
We have now to come to grips with the idea of the new world of the 21st century....the one that is short on oil, big on development, big on shopping, big on buying from China, and big on depleting just about all the natural resources like water, clean air, and good earth.
I could go on with the list but you get the picture.
What do we do now that we are here???
How do we deal with the grief and move to solutions.
How do we solve the problems or meet the challenges.
Many in my community have little hope for a good job let alone a great job.
Many here work at the Dunkin' Donut shop or McDonalds, clean houses, or drive Taxi's to make ends meet. There is a "Dollar Store" on every corner ready to snag any spare change one might have and a "lotto" machine ready to take any other dollars you might have in your pocket. All this makes "voting" seem like a thing of the past. People are longing for the big break---they see no way out---luck is what is left.
Many eat "Take out food" ....people consume soda and chips at a very fast rate----rarely do people cook their own food....
and so on and so on.
So now that we live in the post modern-- post revoution state of perpetual war--- what do we do to fix what is broken???
I am thinking about this as we speak---will check back later.
Also want to remind people out there that the intern-ships are available for TSL and have some studio/live & work space available as well for rent in the fair City of Hudson. We are located by the River that leads to the sea.
Always lots of interesting things to do here.
So if you are interested give Linda a shout. 518-209-7966
